Orsus names Jacob Fox as President Americas at Orsus
The PineApp and Nice Systems veteran brings leadership, channel partner experience

New York, September 11, 2008 - Orsus®, the pioneer in the field of Situation Management, a new holistic approach to optimizing situation planning, response and analysis, has named Jacob Fox as President Americas at Orsus.

Fox comes to Orsus from PineApp Inc., where he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the IT security company for two years. While at PineApp Inc., he was responsible for growing the company’s business in the Americas and initiating exclusive distribution agreements with key industry partners.
Prior to that, Fox served as vice president of sales of call center and analytic solutions for Nice Systems from 2004 to 2006, where during that time the company launched its voice, content analytics and business solutions. He was instrumental in transforming the company’s go-to market strategy to focus on solution-based selling. He also served as General Manager of NiceVision from 2001 to 2004 where he grew the division’s sales of the company’s newly announced video content analytics applications.

Fox replaces Gal Oron, who served as President, Americas for Orsus, for the past two years. Oron has been promoted to a corporate position as Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Business Development. In this position, he will be responsible for shaping Orsus’ global strategic agenda, and developing practical plans to capture growth opportunities across market segments, products and territories.

Since joining Orsus in 2000, Oron has held several management positions. He has been instrumental in building Orsus Americas and in shaping the corporate strategy and the definition of the Situator product line. He successfully established sales channels, initiated marketing programs and developed a strong foundation of relationships with many clients, including American Electric Power, Virginia Port Authority, the Port of Houston Authority and others.
